I did some thinking - I know, its a clear violation of forum rules - but I come to the conclusion it didnt matter much. Sure Lamparad couldv done this or that different but the end result it was a choice between allardyce non-football hoof it up the tall 9, or try to do some fighting. Also, its not like we are the real madrid/psg/citeh types of clubs that can entice anyone. Like our players, like our prospective player pool, we are at best a lower midtable PL club at the moment. I rather keep lampard, and see where we end up. I hope he does the honourable thing and stay if we go down but I cant blame him if he leaves, of for our predicament. That is not his fault. The guys that have to look in the mirror, are the board, and moshiri. A 500 million stadium..what good is it when we dont produce results for that?
