"Watch Classic Matches Again"

Bad day at the office,EFC v Millwall FA Cup 1973,think there was real trouble off the pitch at this one.

Went to this one with my dad and remember a couple of things about it; millwall fans getting escorted out of one end of Goodson into the other, only for Everton fans to immediately get into them and after the match we were trying to get down spellow lane and there was bad crowd trouble outside the blue house involving Everton,Millwall, liverpool and Man City fans (who had been playing at anfield)

I was there it was a blood bath from 2 -50 PM onwards, mill wall fans tried to take the Gladys street end blood knives flashing I was in the paddock sickening scenes as St. John ambulance went past with blood dripping off the stab wounded millwall fans!

Yes I was there bad scenes and an awful performance, bad memories from that game David Lawson our expensive keeper was so poor all the time he was here!
Jow Harper and |Rod Belifit were not that brilliant either Harper better than Bellfit though - it was a poorish blues team! 6th from the bottom that season - Kendall kept us up with some sterling displays!

Harry Cripps scoring against EFC!!! I had forgotten that but at least we did'nt sign him as we did with Bernie Wright when Walsall did us in the Cup at Goodison.

Talking about Millwall reminds me of a a near-death expirience at the Den when they beat EFC 3-0. I can't remember who was more scared the 11 on the pitch or me and a few pals!!

I went when they got promoted in 1988 I think it was,we got beat 2-1,Remember getting shepherded down this tunnel to the away section which was meant to keep their fans from getting to us:eek:the good, old, bad old days eh?lolkept you on your toes!!

I was at this game and was telling a Man U mate about the gate at Old Trafford that night a few weeks back,it was 26000,my manc mate wouldn't have it!!we must have had about 1500/2000 that night too, still a wins a win especially at Man U:)

I remember at half time a groundsman came onto the pitch and started forking the penalty area just in front of the Blues. One guy shouts "heh, mate" the groundsman looks up, "you won't find any trophies in there"

Was very funny at the time....
