Watches

These look nice, and I think I would go for the light blue face.

Are they just a USA release?

I'm not sure, on the Citizen website (here in the USA) it says "coming soon" but I'm not sure what they means for international sales.

What do you lads think of this one:

Festina makes tons of quartz chronograph models. My major issue is that some of their chronographs--and this looks to be one of them--are way too big (at least for me). Most watches for most men's wrists are between 38-43mm, but that model I believe is 47mm...you would need very big wrist for it to not look out of proportion. I can't speak to their quality, but they are certainly affordable, and usually powered by the quartz movement made by Citizen (Miyota movement). If you considering that particular model, try it on first to see if it feels too big. (to be sure, some people like wearing big watches, but others like me feel the watch case shouldn't be larger than your wrists).

I see what you mean. This ones a bit smaller. 40mm I think. Looks more dapper:

And what about calculator watches?

Any nerds in the house? 😂

Those old calculator watches are hilarious. I remember wanting one as a kid back in the early 80s. They were ridiculously expensive at the time, if I recall.

I do like this Festina model much better.

Been super satisfied with my Henry Archer 'Nordso'; no prob recommending to lurking newbs who are having "first watch fear". Ticks all the right boxes, for the price. Have no fear...

some reviews

Never heard of them...these look awesome. You always seem to find great microbrands at great prices.
Keen eye for the watch guy...:p. For the price and , as a spec-head (which it ticked 95% of those boxes, for me) I took the plunge. Due to case height, I almost dare to term it a "dress diver", if there is such a thing...especially the brushed dial versions. I got the 'Cru' (champagne) dial myself:

Apologies for the water spots/dust on the crystal; 4X zoom on phone, it wasn't noticeable to my aging eyes at the time.
