Watches

2-3 years a go, those F1's were £1100 brand new. They are no way worth £1500 new now, like you said. Quartz!

I'll have a look at what they have on that site! Cheers!

QUARTZ. IT HAS A BATTERY IN IT. A BATTERY. £1500.

I think I let nostalgia get the better of me, had an F1 from an outlet in Gretna and loved it, back when I knew bugger all about watches!

I really like the speed timer, hopefully will finally get my hands on one this year. Been pining after this watch for a while!.

I'm liking the bracelet myself!
It’s grown on me, I got it with a blue canvas strap that looked okay but was really annoying doing it up so had this one previously on another watch spare, the original bracelets I really like, apart from the clasp so I’m not in a great rush to buy another one.

Reminds me of a Squale diving strap👍🏼

Got the Speedtimer and the Arnie. Love them.

I'm so jealous..

I think I got the Speedtimer for £530ish and the Arnie on a Black Frday deal for around £290 a couple of years later, so a fair bit cheaper than what the RRP is.

If you have your heart set on those or the others on your list, if you can save a bit of money to put down a decent deposit, then wait for the right deal to pop up, the zero percent interest PayPal deals mean the finance payments aren't too bad. I then overpay when I can to clear the balance as soon as comfortably possible and that gives headroom to do it again (should I wish). Obviously does depend what else you have going on. Some people can afford to bung that sort of money all in one go and that's what Seiko is great as it's not stupid money, but for the rest of us putting a plan in place is the best way forward to get the things we want. Good luck.

I always thought the speed timer was 38mm like the Rolex copy.. 🤣 but 41.5mm is tempting. I have big wrists and anything below around 40-42mm looks odd on me..

Do you have the Solar? What are reviews of them like do you know?

Just popped into a Tag shop in that Bluewater place. Not much of interest but I did like the look of this titanium solar powered affair..

No idea about the movement etc but the tech behind it is interesting.
