Watches

Why did I pop back into this thread? No, I’ve not been searching IWC and Bremont watches that I won’t be purchasing, thank you.

like this but with the same color face as the band. Beautiful simple lines.

Ahh, yes, the Pilot Mark XVIII limited edition in Brown. Good looking watch.

If you're looking for a pilot watch, there are tons of relatively inexpensive options...Stowa, Archimede, Laco, etc. (when compared to IWC)...just say the word and we'll be happy to guide you into financial irresponsibility.

I have enough vices as it is, the kind folk in the cycling thread have helped (indirectly) fuel another money spending interest, but I would never decline to look at a nice watch.

Here is the "Antoine de Saint Exupery" which is a beautiful watch

Here is a nice Bremont MBIII which is also a very nice watch.

I would certainly be interested in learning about more watches with good, clean lines that cost abar 1 factor of ten less, especially if it has a GMT hand.

That IWC is truly a beauty.

@SerenityNigh

Good watch, good deal: But a thing to keep in mind is "case diameter". This is a 44mm watch case, so if you have small/medium sized wrists it can feel too big. For me, I wear watches between 40-42mm if possible. If you have big wrists this will work just fine.

I keep looking at the Laco Augsburg , but I couldn’t wear a watch in work and I’m still out of the habit five years after retirement.

That's nice and those Laco watches are nice too. The Pilot watch style suits my style preferences, but I love when it has a GMT hand as well. This is a nice watch Archimede.
