Nah...watches are for everybody. I bought my kid a 4 dollar watch and my partner a 40$ one...they don't have to be expensive to love.

Had to send my nice watch off for a battery replacement. £63! And it'll take over a month.

Did they at least replace the seals and test water resistance while they were at it? If they just cracked it open and chucked a new batt in, I'd crack THEM open.

I understand your opinion, think it’s a bit harsh though. Could be said about any of the threads that involve money being spent on anything but necessities (including the recipes and food ideas thread, showing big steaks etc). Cars, Take my Money thread, Single Malts etc
