Watches

Hang on, I don't know what the time is LOL, it's on my phone, it's on my laptop, it's on my stand alone, oh, & it's on the tv lol !!
But I'll look at a watch lol

Never really understood watches, especially in the modern day, does anyone never know what the time is, folk are on their phones all day !!
Can't see the point of watches, they should be obsolete & defunct by now, does anyone really not know what the time is at any point during the day, & every single person is on their phone 24/7, with a clock, oh, but what is the effin time, lol, better look at my watch, doh !

Maybe this thread isn't for you.

Any one got any titanium watches, if so how do you get on with them, ie nice and light, scratch resistance etc etc?
Becoming strangely drawn to them (seem to have gotten over ceramic for now!)
Although this scratches both itches

I've owned a few. You can notice a difference between titanium and stainless steel if you are comparing exactly the same model in steel versus Ti; I have a titanium Panerai (see HERE), and I do notice it's lightness but mostly because I owned a similar model (and case size) in stainless steel; but on a less clunky watch I wouldn't notice it as much as all watches really don't weigh that much. As to scratch resistance, it definitely seems better, even polished titanium is a bit more scratch resistant. I owned a Casio Oceanus (an amazing value and travel watch if there ever was one) and it felt light, durable, and was very scratch resistant. Ironically, on the Casio it felt "too light" if that makes sense, as I like to have a watch that has a little heft when I put it on.
