You are saying it like the mentioned players are all world class or something. They are not. McCarthy, Baines, Jags, Coleman all have glaring weaknesses. Del, Lukaku, Kev and Stones are not consistent players. Our youngsters are all up and down with form and the others are not good enough all round players...bang average.

And therein is the reason why Baines is on the money - we've got talented players but we don't play like a unit at the moment. Yes West Brom might not be as overflowing with talent but Pulis gets teams organised, well drilled and playing as a unit and for each other.

Maybe we've got a bunch of players who can't become a unit? Or maybe the boss can't / won't sort it out? Hard to say for sure, but we're definitely on the slide in the league and the rot needs to stop. Talent plus team cohesion is the way forward.

This. I find it baffling when people say "yeah but let him spend money and see what he can do". Sod that, we've already got a fantastic team of players who have proven on occasions what they're capable of. It's just that Martinez isn't getting the best out of them on a regular basis. We need a manager in who can. Sure the addition of one or two quality players in key positions to boost the squad is on the cards but that is absolutely no excuse for just how [Poor language removed] we are performing with the quality we already have
