Agree on that but all in all I would say Allardyce was the only one who done the job he was brought in to do, probably got the most abuse also. His treatment by the fans was wrong.

He was never here for the long term.
His job was to keep Everton up, which Unsworth did before he turned up. Won 1 game went 9th and played the most boring football in a half empty Goodison. Give it all the big I Am and robbed the club of a year salery

Youre not really giving any answer to why you think Rooney would do more good than harm here. Not trying to bully you in any way, just curious as to your ressoning.

Lets be honest its very hard to give a reason for either way. We've literally covered all bases on the experience choices. And got nowhere.
Who really knows anymore. I think this job now is as much about character.

A win tomorrow eases the pressure a little. Lose and I think there may well be movement next week.

The best scenario is that Ferguson can pick us up wins and points over the next couple of games.

If we are moving to safety our options are much increased and they don't have to make a decision from a position of panic.

The longer Ferguson stays as caretaker, the more comfortable our position becomes as I see it.

Two defeats over the coming period of games is probably the limit of what Moshiri would accept, before appointing literally anyone else.
Is t it an international break after Villa? So after Villa we got 2 weeks till the next game..manager should well be in

Do think I gave you an answer and don't think you're trying to bully me. No real reason, just gut feeling. And that's exactly the same as with everyone else on here naming their favourites for the job tbh. Nobody knows how it's going to pan out. Everton has proven to be a notorious difficult club to manage over the years

With Rooney there are two ways to find out.

1. Get him in and see how he develops

2. Get someone else and see how his career pans out over the coming years.

Also, not saying Rooney is my fave, first or only choice, but I'm not against it.

Lads! (I know). He did this! Would you do this if you loved a club? I couldn't...

Please, no! Not after Benitez...

? allardyce had the easiest job in the world. Stop a team that was 13th in the league and 5 points clear from relegation zone from getting relegated. Ludicrous that he was apparently here to "save us".

Ancelotti did a better job of saving us as we were 15th in the league and only 4 points out of relegation zone further through the season when he took over. Had a better record than allardyce ppg wise and ended on same points as allardyce, but in that season it only got 12th which shows it was more competitive. Yet he gets zero credit for that and is deemed as a failure while some say allardyce succeeded.

If Rooney keeps Derby up, he would be worth considering as he would have succeeded fairly well. Currently, he hasn't proved himself.

It really is silly how people would want him here at all. A blue through and through. Once a blue always a blue.

He gave his best years to another club. It’s not complicated. Disrespectful turd.

Hopefully with this derby rumored takeover he stays there.

More important things in life then a footballer kissing a badge… jeez grow up already
You're probably right ... Who knows? But I wouldn't, is all I'm saying. Once a blue...and all that. In my eyes, worse than Benitez's jibe. He knew exactly what he was doing. At Goodison? I'll back him, if he comes but lost the right at that moment (p.s. running out of time to 'grow up' but it is what it is)

Do you think he would give his best years to us, seriously?

If you was his father what would you say, honestly? Stay at us?
