Transfer Rumour Wayne Rooney

If Koeman sees him as a fit for footballing reasons, then fine.

If Moshiri sees him as a fit for ego/status/shirt sales, then no.

And as Moshiri has said publicly that the football is left to Koeman and the football staff, well, I would trust Koemans judgement, even if I cant see it.

That said, I deliver parcels, and he is paid a bit more than me as a football manger.

On this...why no to profile/shirts etc ?

We all knew Rooney would peak early and fade badly, even when he was here at the age of 16. His body build and style of play pretty much dictated it. That's what has happened, and we shouldn't pay through the nose to see if he can have a renaissance somehow at Goodison for two years when there's little sign it will happen.

Sadly, I think this true.

Done deal lads. No amount of cryarsing is gonna change that. You haters have got until next season kicks off in August to get used to the idea.

Welcome home Wayne.

I reckon playing for his own team would rejuvenate him for two or three months and then old father time would catch up with him, which would be quite sad to watch.

If he comes, obviously I hope he proves me wrong

Ive just said the same, for 6months he will be be a monster, then around this time next year, if hes not injured, he will fall off a cliff and never really come back. Hes utterly finished, sure he still has the talent and he will perform at times, but as a top level football, hes donezero.

Ah well, Welcome home Wayne.

This has loan written all over it imo, he has a massive contract with united which they would have to buy out or he join us on loan we contribute to his wages and he can't play against the mancs.
I doubt the Mancs would do any business regarding a loan. They've already said he's free to leave. Ie: Not wanted next year. They want him off the books and gone. It's likely us or China, but he, supposedly, had his chance with China recently. Maybe things didn't work out as he'd like with that and he'll wait until the summer. Don't rule out a big USA move either, although I have no idea how their ridiculous (to me) transfer system works. Heck, for all I know he'll end up at West Ham.

Every club is allowed 3 designated players that can be paid any amount they wish. If it was 2014 I think a move to America would have been nailed on but the "sign fading Euros for massive money" era is coming to an end, and not a minute too soon.

Even if someone here still wanted him, no MLS club could or would pay the enormous salary he would demand. The highest paid player in MLS (Giovinco) makes less than half of what Rooney is getting from ManU this year. Not to mention the transfer fee, which no one would pay here either.
