Transfer Rumour Wayne Rooney

Rooney is more of an Evertonian than me and the majority of posters on here.

He has sweat blood and tears to be were he is right now. He has had the honour of playing in the Everton shirt and worked hard to achieve that.

The majority of you turncoats just boo or slate players off on a forum and claim to be Evertonians.

He worked his way through the ranks here and has become the top scorer for England and Manchester United. Would he have won all the honours if he stayed? The answer would be no.

Did we have to sell Wayne to keep the wolves From the door?? Yes.

That transfer benefitted us, Wayne and United.

If he comes back he will be a boost for commercial exposure. You all say we need to bring in better sponsorship deals and expand the Everton brand in foreign markets, well Wayne is the man to do that. He is a global superstar, and a true blue to boot.

selling our souls? what are you on about lad? do you still begrudge rooney living an awful team with no future ( how it looked at the time ) to one of the worlds biggest clubs winning every trophy possible?

I don't get it, it's simple he will improve everything about everton tenfold therefor would be a great signing

Sigh....

No I don't begrudge him it, I get him going there, it is his career and his life.

What I resent is him coming back and us bending over backwards for him especially when he has been finished for about 3 years.

I am sick of reading about him being an Evertonian, I am sick of reading about him improving the team, I am sick of reading about his mythical marketing potential.

Funny thing is whilst he was at United I didn't even hate him. He just turned into another player to me. What gets me is him getting another chance when he turned his back on it first time around and everyone saying he is such a big blue.

He made his choice, he shouldn't get another chance, especially after Man Utd have ran all his usefulness into the ground.

It would be a great deal commercially - it could help grow our brand globally.

On the footballing side of things he could be a valuable squad player - but he would have to earn his place. We have a talented bunch of lads, he wouldn't be a shoe in.

Not arsed if happens or not.

"We should get Rooney back!"
"Nah, he's finished. He can't run anymore, and he's scored 1 goal from open play in about 40 games."
"Oh so you begrudge him leaving do yer lad?!"
"No, i'm just saying he..."
"HE HAD TO LEAVE US LAD."
"Yeah I know, but..."
"HE SAVED THE CLUB! AND HES THE BIGGEST BLUENOSE AND HES COMING BACK TO SAVE US"
"But he isn't very good at football anymore, I don't think..."
"GET OVER IT LAD, HE HAD TO GO TO WIN TROPHIES!!!"

talking out your arse mate.

how are we bending over backwards for him? they seemingly want to let him go and he seemingly wants to stay in the prem, it's a perfect fit?

your sick of reading them things? what would you rather read that he's not an evertonian, that he wouldn't improve the team nor would we have any marketing potential??

and now moaning about him getting a second chance haha thought you didn't hold a grudge? you blatently have

Do people really still begrudge Rooney for making the move? He's won everything he can possibly win with United, and has become their all time top scorer.

We were never going to keep hold of him. We even sold Arteta to balance the books, who can only dream of being a player as good as Rooney is/was. I'm sure the board didn't have any problem with the £30m the club received, we needed those funds.

He's still got a huge amount to offer and just because he can't get into an attack assembled with £200m at United doesn't mean he isn't good enough for us. He would walk into the Arsenal/City/Liverpool sides, and would put us on the map again.

We're in need of a new captain with Jags on his way out, and since he's captained both United and England I'd say he'd be perfect for the job.

To say that one of the best known players in world football shouldn't be joining us is crazy talk. It's the kind of player that could convince Lukaku to stay.

Welcome home Rooney. You've won everything there is to win, now do it with us.

He isn't an Evertonian though! He obviously was once. I do not see any way as to how he improves us. A younger version yeah of course, but not now. he is no different from a Rademel Falcao or a Fernando Torres, great players back in their day but I wouldn't want them now.

If he stayed where he was or moved elsewhere then no I don't have a grudge, if he comes back then yes I do. he moved for his career, fine, he now wants to come back once his career is over and he has done everything he wanted to do. Brilliant. lets put a massive banner up of him on the side of the main stand for our massive evertonian overlord. In fact sod it, lets name the new stadium after him. He deserves it after him deeming us worthy of his abilities for a season or two after his proper career has finished.

Falcao is back to his best and is currently one of the best forwards in Europe..
