Transfer Rumour Wayne Rooney

I think he has lost his motivation at United, and could still do a job in the Premier League. However, I'm not sure his style of play fits with Koeman's way of playing.

hmm, a loan has never been mentioned before by anyone.
I mentioned it loads of times mate.;) I thought a loan in January would have suited everyone but obviously MU didn't agree with me.

Personally, I'd have thought Rooney just being there and not getting a regular game would have generated unwelcome publicity for the club, not to mention the £300k pw he's getting paid. By all accounts he must be being the model professional and still having a positive effect within the changing room.

I don't get the record breaking thing. He has done that over his career with most of it coming in the early parts of his career when he was a dynamic player. It's not like he scored all those goals in the past 2 years.

Neither Torres or Falcao are playing in England. Would you have them here currently? Fair enough if you would. I wouldn't.

I don't think the grudge thing is that hard really. he leaves for the good of his career, that's fine, I don't agree with the timing of him leaving as he left way too early for me but whatever, I do object to him coming back once he is finished (debatable of course but for me he is) and giving it the whole massive blue thing. Realistically he want's to come back here because he is no longer good enough for Man Utd (a team who we are sat just behind in the league) and their fans don't treat him as one of theirs for some reason even with his exceptional record for them.

wouldn't have torres, but id have falcao of course I would.

united are a lot stronger than us though so because he might not be good enough for them doesn't mean hes not good enough for us, schneiderlin was deemed not good enough for united does that mean we shouldnt have signed him?

i think the move here would benefit his career more than it would benefit us. The media would be utterky shocked by that.

He also is nowhere near as bad as the media point out, he's just a lot worse than he was at his peak. He's not a terrible player, people just view how far he's fallen as opposed to how much better he is than other players.

£15m, no more, get it done i'd say
£15m plus £15m per year wages? That's £60m over 3 years.

wouldn't have torres, but id have falcao of course I would.

I've seen an empty crisp packet do more than Falcao on a football field mate.

He's dead set plop.

Rooney though. Maybe.

A fit, happy Rooney will score at least 10 in the first season and at least 6-8 in the next. At the moment our next top scorers after Rom are on 4. Just think what the extra goals will do for our league placement.

Obviously he is not cheap, but if we buy him for 20 million, i think at the end of a 2 season spell we should still be able to offload him to America for half that amount or probably make money if he goes to China. (Not sure he would accept that move but it's possible he may do 1 year at $$$$$$$$)

As long as we don't go above say 100k a week i can't see it breaking the bank, especially as any shirt/sponsorship deals will increase due to brand Rooney.

We have future potential like Lookman to fill that role at a later date but he isn't ready yet and maybe will never be ready if we grow past his talent. Rooney has unfinished business here and if in the short term he fires us into the champions league then we can go on and look for the longer term better prospects, but be able to attract a James Rodriguez type calibre player due to having CL.

I can almost guarantee the hunger that Rooney will show, you saw how happy he was lifting the trophy for utd, i bet it would mean 10 times more to him to do it as an Everton player.

No way should we be paying anything like £20m for him. £10m tops. United won't want to be paying him £300k a week not to play so it's in their best interests for him to move on.

It is absolutely clear that Utd are preparing the supporters for the day Rooney leaves. He is being moved further from their team with each passing day and their recent improvement in form makes that possible.

I think it is clear now that Rooney has been told he is finished at Old Trafford and could leave immediately if China was the destination.
I think Stretford probably tried to make this happen but the idea was knocked back by Rooney.

The news that we tried to loan him in January and failed because Utd would not agree to the loan...not Rooney. The charm offensive yesterday really does say that a deal may be on for the summer.

At this stage it is likely that a lot of conversations have been happening privately in the background and if the deal were impossible financially then none of this kind of talk would be in the public domain now.

I expect Rooney would get a large signing on fee and that his wage would then come within the pay scale. Bonuses could be added for a top four finish, a cup win or a successful European campaign.

I am not certain that Rooney wants to play football outside of England and I am not even certain that he wants to move himself or his family outside of the north west.
Rooney told us recently he was not going to China, let's not see if he says that he will stay to finish his contract at Utd.

At this point I want him to sign just so we can finally end the years and years of having "will he or won't he?" Rooney threads pop up every 3 weeks.

Rooney has made his money so in an ideal world Rooney will be given by free transfer by UTD to get his wages off their wage bill :-) They can announce a "undisclosed" fee paid, Rooney signs a basic contract of say 50,000 with a % of merchandise sales, we get a "star profile" signing in media terms for media/PR stuff :-)

Everyone wins :-)

I still remember the summer of 2004 and his behaviour, people say he was a young lad, but he was old enough to know what he was doing and his career has shown he is more interested in himself and his personal glory than the football club, lets not forget he attempted to force a move out of United when he wasn't happy so its not as if he learnt his lesson and on one occasion to Man city.

Would love as a football club to tell him to [Poor language removed] of like he did to us those years ago
