Transfer Rumour Wayne Rooney

I still remember the summer of 2004 and his behaviour, people say he was a young lad, but he was old enough to know what he was doing and his career has shown he is more interested in himself and his personal glory than the football club, lets not forget he attempted to force a move out of United when he wasn't happy so its not as if he learnt his lesson and on one occasion to Man city.

Would love as a football club to tell him to [Poor language removed] of like he did to us those years ago

Not to mention goading our fans on the day Goodison said goodbye to Alan Ball. He is no Evertonian. If we were signing him in 2010 and people were telling themselves Rooney is still a big boss blue la, then i'd get on board head first. Not now. Not in 2017 when he is so obviously losing his powers..

I can't think of much worse than going to Goodison every week to watch Rooney huffing around the pitch like De Niro at the end of raging bull. On one final fat Elvis tour. That scruff taking Everton for one last ride. No ta.

we're loaded mate.

It would increase our profile, our exposure would grow, income would improve. We'd make a lot.
Aye but do we want rooney earning double the amount of our actual best players ? lukaku is looking at a contract around 160K PW mark imo thats a 140k pw pay decrease for rooney. the only way I see this possible is if we either buyout his contract and man U effectively release him to us for free or a large signing on bonus

I still recall his last game for us, a 5-1 defeat at City where he strolled around with his hands on his hips, dishing out abuse to all the other senior pro's, knew he was offski then.

Takes his lads the game whenever he can, bringing them up as blues despite how easy it'd been to have them as United fans. But yeah he's not a blue.

Christ some high horses in here slating a teenager who was under massive pressure to leave due to our financial mess, and using a teenage lad giving it back to people giving him abuse to support their argument he's not a blue, most of whom where a damn sight older than he was ofc and probably the same ones who go to goodison and boo and slate Barkley as their favourite thing to do at the match.

As a parent be shocked if anyone wouldn't have advised their lad to do exactly what he did when he left for United.

Why? Just because he says he is?
Takes more than weasel words to lay claim to the distinguished epithet of 'Evertonian'.

So you'd have wanted your lad to have turned down the move and stay at Everton his entire career given the same choices mate?

Sorry but I'd want my lad to have done the very best he could do in his career, he'd have win nothing at Everton, he'd have likely been at a club that had a Leeds like situation happen due to the financial mess his sale alleviated, and you'd have been happy to see your lad get stick from loads of middle aged narks and just take it without giving some back.

Tremendous vaulting opportunities in here when he bags the winner at the pit next season.
imagine that. Scoring the winner in the last minute of the derby and both sets of supporters booing you.

That's a good one for Question of Sports what happened nextlol

Why try and loan and not buy if we are loaded?
We'd played them twice and were out of the cups.

We'd have got knocked back either way anyway as Utd were hoping he was going to China but it doesn't explain why it was a loan and not a purchase.

Can't be bothered giving you a history lesson, but I doubt anyone's done as much as Wayne Rooney to lose this "Evertonian status" that you value so highly.

Just really think it would be a backward step! Cannot understand it even being considered. Please Everton don't go there.
