Transfer Rumour Wayne Rooney

I reckon he has been gash for the last couple of years to have an extended mid career break, kid the mancs into thinking he is finished and let him come back for nothing, leading us into a golden era of total togger with RonKo's globetrotterz.

Romelu Lukaku would love to play alongside Wayne Rooney

Romelu: "If [Rooney] is part of our team I will welcome him with open arms."

Romelu: "I would love to play with Wayne Rooney. He really is a great player. He is strong with his head and has a sense for goals. We have played against each other very often. There was a chance to play together for Duncan Ferguson's testimonial, but I had to miss the game due to injury. I still regret that."

Given how we're currently being run, I think it's hard to believe that Everton would bring him in at the detriment of other players/signings. He'll attract more coverage which in turn could drive more revenue for Everton!

It's just a case of will he add to our squad! We've seen how focused Koeman is around fitness, so maybe Koeman is able to hold Rooney up at this level, and for longer! Imagine a fitter Rooney along with the expected performance bounce you should get off him when he pulls an Everton shirt back on!

If Koeman and Walsh want him, and Moshiri says we can afford him and keep moving forward, then I'm all for it.

Concerned about him blocking other players coming in, but I can imagine he could act as a magnet for bigger/better summer signings - the calibre of players that turned their noses up last summer might start buying into 'the project' with the signal sent out by him choosing us over China.
