Transfer Rumour Wayne Rooney

So you'd have wanted your lad to have turned down the move and stay at Everton his entire career given the same choices mate?

Sorry but I'd want my lad to have done the very best he could do in his career, he'd have win nothing at Everton, he'd have likely been at a club that had a Leeds like situation happen due to the financial mess his sale alleviated, and you'd have been happy to see your lad get stick from loads of middle aged narks and just take it without giving some back.
If my son had done what Shrek did ,l'd have disowned him . Seriously .

The money will be better spent elsewhere. On who? The club are going in the right direction but we aren't going to attract top talent from big clubs with players in their prime. We are going to be looking at second string players from big clubs, second level clubs or players with bags of potential until we establish ourselves at the top end of the table and in Europe.

Rooney would be brilliant in raising the profile of the club just because of his individual profile. Just forget about the money side of it because we have offered big money to players in the summer who chose not to come for the above reasons so the money is irrelevant.

If Koeman and Walsh want him and he can do a job on the pitch and in training with our younger players then I'm all for it. I couldn't care less how much he costs as the way we've been this season we have missed out on top targets in the summer because players simply didn't want to come. He could change that going forward.

Remember the name!!!

Baffled by people saying "only if hes cheap", im just gonna remind you all, ITS NOT YOUR MONEY.

If/when we get him in, we have a manager that wont play him if hes garbo, dont worry about the fee, dont worry about anything, just remember the name.

The Leeds goal still baffles me.

And aye, it's Alisher's/Farhad's/Premier Lesgue's money, it's not coming out of the pockets of anyone on here.

Get him in.

I get how lids are still upset but that was beards ago, he was young a tit with it. Many of us probably were similar.

I'd rather have Rooney to bring on than Kone, and as cover in case Lukaku does get injured.

Rooney would be an iconic signing for attracting new players, if you don't believe me then look at what our star striker just said about wanting to play with him.

The likes of Barkley, Lookman and Davies will learn from his vast experience.

Koeman rightfully isn't intimidated by anyone's reputation and won't tolerate anything less than full fitness and focus while wearing a blue shirt. Rooney will be very aware of that so if he did want to head back to Everton on those terms it would indicate he still has hunger and maybe something to prove.

I wish he wouldn't have left. Or at the least gave us a few years more. I still think he's a tit for kissing the badge. I do have concerns about how much it will cost us and the impact on other players.

But when I balance it all up there's a lot more pros from bringing Wayne Rooney back to play for Everton.

Each to their own but I reckon there'll be a lot of apppeasement when he lashes a winner in the Gwladys Street.

Suppose we will see. On saying that I change my mind too often on whether it's a good thing or not.

very nearly took a side there mate, just about managed to clamber back up on your fence with that last line, but yeah in general sums it up nicely for me

I'd have him back just for the fume and hatred towards us from other fans. It would get rid of that favourite 2nd team title that we seem to have acquired in some quarters, and "plucky little Everton " which as a 51 year old fan, with memories of us as the best team in Europe, I find condescending in the extreme.

Bring him home.

Let's be honest here, there will be a tiny minority of people giving him stick if he lined up for us in our first game of next season at Goodison.

That'll fade and that's that then. He's flying.

It would only fade if he was a quality player, man u fans are saying he finished, how would the Everton relate to this.
