We are potentially on the verge of something very good. We do not need a player that is no longer near his prime. We must make decisions with our brain and not our heart.

If this happens it will demonstrate that nothing has changed at the club. I can just about stomach this guy coming in as a last minute panic loan but when we've had a year to find players if we end up with Enner Valencia, a very limited player, then we can't hope to challenge for the CL spots.

But, Valencia has done fine.

He's not great. Not good enough for where we want to be competing and we definitely need an upgrade. But based on how he's performed this season I've got no hard feelings for the lad.
