I don't think he's as finished as most on here seem to be implying. My issue with him returning was always the cost. If the price is right it could work out very well.

This is spot on mate. And for those saying he isn't that old: no he isn't but he is clearly coming to the end of his career. He can do one and take his "brand" to USA or China.
I know we will sign him though, and it will be dressed up as a big signing, when it really really isn't.

I agree . It's all about value for money..I don't think he's as finished as most on here seem to be implying. My issue with him returning was always the cost. If the price is right it could work out very well.
Bitterness aside I agree. But what is an acceptable cost to someone clearly a gamble? 40k? 50k? He will probably want at least double and most likely triple that. To put into perspective it's more than the biggest contract we've ever offered to one of the world's best strikers.
If Everton are offering Rooney a bigger wage than Lukaku, then they deserve what they will get really.Wondering if Rooney is the reason Rom and Ross are stalling. Read that they were talking £150k for Rooney, though some quoting Rom around the £110k. Sure Rom's agent would have the inside track on what is going down between the 2 clubs.
That's a thread and poll all of its own. Please yes!!
He's Peter Beardsley on steroids!
