Transfer Rumour Wayne Rooney

Great in theory but that assumes Rooney wants to go to China. If he came here you'd suspect he'd want to finish his career here.

Apparently he is a big fan of Chinas rich cultural history, two of his three favourite artists are also chinese!..so you never know

I'd probably agree but a season or 2 being a bit part player could force his hand. Oh and his agent will try to get anything he can before he retires.

Or we get a decent 12 months out of him and then WE sell him to China for a profit.

That sounds good in theory, if not a little fanciful.

Personally it's still a NO from me.

RK may have other ideas though.

If it guarantees helping wider recruitment and player retainment then I would be more open to it.

It doesn't have to be, but then if his wages were reasonable why shouldn't it be?

If we sign him with no sentiment, purely because the manager thinks he'll improve the team, then what's the problem? Koeman won't sign him because he wants to write a romantic last chapter for the movie script of his life. If Koeman signs a player then he thinks they'll improve us; there is no sentiment involved.
What is reasonable though? There's a lot of chatter about £150K a week. That would be the biggest contract in Everton's history for a player that even the most vociferous cheerleaders have conceded is past his best. £150K is too much for me but I don't see him coming for less (£150K would already represent a big pay cut).

What is "football IQ"?
And what's yours mate?
