He's finished. Any team would be foolish to take him. Maybe for 10k a week, but he'll never drop down to anything less than around 200k a week because of the riches United have paid him. I can't imagine he'll go to China, but quite likely to the States as he can speak the language. Lock up your grans.
Don't hold any grudge. Maybe if he'd tried a return 2 years ago and made the right noises he might have been 'accepted' back (even then I'm not sure). But being 31 this month I just can't see it. We can't afford him (wages wise) or rather we'd be fools to try and pay him his going rate. And for what? Two seasons at most. A 'no' from me.

Take him in January, on loan for 6 months, to see if the passion for his boyhood club reignites the flame. Offer him 50k a week as he's clearly past it. Nothing to lose there, plus would be a bonus in the dressing room for the younger lads.

I think Rooney's passing and movement are still better than Barkley and therefore more suited to number 10. But like I said... I would buy Rooney
