One thing I think Ive noticed about ole' Ronald is there is no typical way he wants his sides, other than to work hard. I could see him replacing Barkley with a like for like rather than a winger

I just think Rooney gets particular scrutiny, undeservedly so imo.

Maybe, I just hope he's being considered purely on sporting grounds and not for marketing or nostalgic (we know Bill would love him back here) reasons. In all probability he's off for a payday in China anyway so all of this hand wringing will have been a waste of nervous energy!

Nah totally different. Eto'o was an egotistical bell throughout his career who was renowned for causing trouble.

Rooney returning to his boyhood club club could give him that extra insensitive to push his boundaries.

Don't agree at all with using eto'o and trouble maker at the club. Too many senior players turned on the manager for it to be down to one and perhaps a natural winner and very successful footballer could see the crap being served up by his new manager and decided he could do a lot better elsewhere?
