So did I. That clown Martinez started playing him right midfield after a while which was ridiculousI actually thought Eto'o was pretty useful.

That *clown" Martinez was the only one to address the need for a playmaker at the club since Arteta was sold.So did I. That clown Martinez started playing him right midfield after a while which was ridiculous

All he needed to do to get to that conclusion was to watch Barkley play before he arrived here.RoKo knows we need one but Barkley hasn't done it sadly.

In any case, playmakers are NOT Koeman's style. Dont expect to see one while he's here. He just doesn't do them.
he can still produce the unexpected,

Nah. Wide player. Not that the two are mutually exclusive, but Tadic seems more the winger end of the spectrum.Isnt Tadic one?

Maybe, I just hope he's being considered purely on sporting grounds and not for marketing or nostalgic (we know Bill would love him back here) reasons. In all probability he's off for a payday in China anyway so all of this hand wringing will have been a waste of nervous energy!true.
I just think Rooney gets particular scrutiny, undeservedly so imo.
As a player he stlll has something to offer us.
Yeah eto'o was a trouble maker at the club, same as pienaar, Distin, Baines etcNah totally different. Eto'o was an egotistical bell throughout his career who was renowned for causing trouble.
Rooney returning to his boyhood club club could give him that extra insensitive to push his boundaries.

All the rumours I've read concerning this suggest his wife and kids will remain in Britain. Probably glad to get a break from the traitor.Only thing about the Chinese pay day is that even if it's only for a season or two max, living in china for two years to Wayne will be like living on mars. Don't get me wrong it will be luxurious, but it's a long way from home and his family may not be up for it.
