To be completely fair if this story is true he wants the money owed to him in his contract , it hardly makes him Bernie Madoff .

More likely if there is any truth in the story it's a negotiating start point so he can get Man U to help facilitate the move elsewhere by paying a little bit of the money and ease the financial burden on his new club .

They are not going to want him sitting on the bench/at home for the next 2 years on £300k a week, but they are not going to give him the same amount (£30 mill) to leave either. They may pay him half or even £10mill and we contribute a chunk in wages and signing on fee, so he wont be losing money at all.
