True. But there's no way Bill wasn't encouraging this and laying the groundwork. Walsh is the biggest fraud in the history if the club. A head of recruitment who replaces lukaku with Rooney. It's unacceptable and he must go. He's a joke. The whole board and backroom are a joke.

Time for us fans to suck it up and get behind the players cause we are in a fight. But our anger needs to be turned squarely towards the board. They are not worthy to run our club.
 
Have people not watched any football the last 2 years? Or only watched our games?

What he is doing now is exactly why the Utd fans started to turn on him and hate him. He was slow, held up the play, lost possession and mis placed simple passes quite often.

Our best hope was that he had just lost that fire and needed a change, rather than he had become a poor player. It looks like it was the latter.
 
Wayne Rooney is everything that is wrong with everton this season (deliberately left out the capital E).

Slow, bereft of ideas and finished.

Why does he come deep for the ball when we have so many players available...? He isn't a better passer than anyone, literally anyone, in the team. His long passes are the worst thing I have seen since that little rat Neville tried to do them.

Seriously Wayne, you have ruined your marriage and contributed significantly to ruining our season. Can we divorce you as well?

Jose didn't want him to go. Admitted that end of last season and this.

United had better players than him. We don't.
 

It's a total farce that Unsworth is pandering to him as well. Saying he picks on form nor ego or price. It's just a nonsense. We're a boys club. A total shambles. Boot Wayne out now. He ditched us when we needed him and came back when we needed nothing to do with him,

So none of the other players have the intelligence to move into the space he's left?

And yes, it is desperate because we've spent £200mill and we've got no one better than him or at least has shown to be.

Exactly and although Gylfi hast had the best of starts, this is one of the reasons I feel.

Not sure that makes it ok to play him tho, he's one of the reasons we're playing so poorly. We've tried him up top and in the No.10 role but he's been non-existent in both roles apart from getting in other players way, I'm not a big fan of Siggurdson but he should start over Rooney. It's a shame as Wayne has been world class and will only be appreciated once he's retired.

Last two years is being generous. He’s been bombed out by United and by England. Apparently we’re running a retirement home not a football club. People can defend him all they want but the fact is he had better players around him at united and still his form dropped to the point where he wasn’t wanted at all, so this talk of him being surrounded by worse players and it’s effecting his game is garbage. This is his level now.

He’s a decent performer; that’s it. Should be starting one game in 3 (if that), and the fact he’s a mainstay is an indicator of what an awful situation we find ourselves in. In fact the idea that he and Sandro were expected to help cover Lukaku’s goals is frankly sickening and idiotic. For those who back him I want to ask if you have honestly watched him play for either United or England the last 3/4 years. It’s the same as the experts who said Sigurddson was better than Eriksen, de Bruyne and Coutinho. Every signing we made this summer was pure dynamite wasn’t it? And then we actually played a football match.
 
Wayne Rooney, however sloppy he can be with the ball at times (and how he tries to do absolutely everybody's jobs for them) is not the problem for us at the moment lads.

When he plays as a No.9 but comes deep for the ball, what space do you want a midfielder to take? He's not the only problem but the name Rooney is whats keeping him in the team at the moment.
