Every time he's played deep, with Gana and Davies, he's been superb. That's his role and it's how we have to use him.

He has yes. The difference being I don't question his effort and bravery on the ball. If anything I think he is ill disciplined in trying to do too much. His bad games were all upfront too due to chronic mismanagement. He is a woeful striker nowadays.

Wayne will be remembered as the guy who won the lottery for United. Not for his time with us. That's how it is sadly.

Agreed, so frusfrusting when Rooney plays in a forward role and not deeper... Particularly when it means playing sigurdsson out of position
