Rooney is an absolute liability. What is he position? "play him deeper, he hasn't the mobility to play number 10". He plays because it is hard to leave a footballing legend like Wayne out of the team, not on talent or merit
Err, he hasn't the mobility to play premier league football. Playing him in midfield means we need Gana and Schneiderlin to play just to cover for him, and try and retrieve the ball when he loses it... which is 30-40% of the time. The lad is done, he knows it himself and probably wants to leave before we all hate him for being even worse next season.
All those years of chips, sausages and beans in yer ma's, drinking, smoking and getting granny clap have taken their toll lid. Thanks for the memory (singular) against West Ham Wayne.... enjoy Amercia

Might be the same source but I have read this in a few places. Basically, Rooney is off to DC if Sam isn't sacked.

We don’t know he can’t produce anymore. We know he hasn’t produced in a season where no one has produced. The systems, and personnel, have all been disjointed. Who’s to say he couldn’t work in a better system here with confident players that gel?
