Weight Training Thread

That's nearly 9 pounds. You using the water for colonic irrigation? Nine pounds? Holy smokes!

Edit, congratulations, how far have you come and got to go?

It’ll mostly be water weight. Just trying not to evaporate any muscle.

Started 114kg Monday morning, 110kg this morning. End goal unsure. I think maybe 90-95 I’d look good. I was 76kg a few years ago but zero muscle.

What's the plan? Sauna n steam every evening? 5k jog every other evening? Cut 200 cals back daily? Do you get narky when you cut and your hungry?
The pain in the backside pal I had would use sarms and clenbuterol to aid his cut, but it drove him even more bananas. Impossible to be around or even talk to. How long you reckon another 15kg will take to trim off?

Keep up the 4-5 weight sessions every week, try do cardio a few times per week (lots of hiking), stop visiting Dominos.

Unsure on timeframe. First goal is 105kg in a few weeks. Hopefully get there end of Feb if I don’t cave after people start going out again.

Yeah that'll be water as I think it's hard to lose much more than 2 pounds of fat tissue in a week. The first week of a new, clean diet often leads to a sharp weight loss as the body tends to hang on to lots of water when you are eating lots of sugars (whether in food or liquid form). If you suddenly go clean, then after about 2 or 3 days the body suddenly lets go of a load of water.

I often spend Tuesdays peeing like a racehorse as I go a bit mad on the carbs/sugars on Friday and Saturday and then cut it all out from first thing Sunday. Hence, by Tuesday my body does it's big release of water that it started storing up on Friday and Saturday. It's like clockwork.
Sounds like you are nailing it!

Big chest & tris sesh with a 5km run for me this morning. Just polishing off 8 eggs now. Farting till bedtime.
The cholesterol in egg yolks is a tricky subject. Lots of studies out there insisting that it is ONLY beneficial cholesterol, but then I have also read about how lots of those studies had dubious funding connected to poultry industry. Personally, I ate 3 eggs including yolk every morning for 10 years and it helped me get pretty strong, but then I started feeling weird and discovered I had high 'bad' cholesterol. I now have 1 yolk and 3 whites every morning instead, but haven't re-checked my cholesterol to see if it has helped. Have a good read around before getting into too many egg yolks per day.

I’m not having eggs daily, maybe a few times per week. Think I’ll be fine. I’m not trying to be too scientific about it unless I have a heart attack before I’m 40.

🤣

Too much sugars equals insulin increase. Insulin increase leads to kidneys retaining water. Just trolling on here aren't you mate. Telling everyone what is wrong with their opinions. when you haven't got a clue yourself. Salt also leads to water retention.
No trolling here mate just dont want people getting wrong information

It's not wrong information though. I never said anything about salt. I was talking about the sugars/water retention pathway. That is a thing.
I mentioned that one cos sugars is the thing cut down most on a clean new diet. Even more so than salt.

The only wrong information here is 'Salt it is mate, not sugar'. Literally wrong information. But if you just posted it as part of the chat I wouldn't have jumped down your throat about it and questioned whether you'd done this for a living. Gah... it's gutting that there's a swear filter on this website 😂
