After all that’s been said by myself in this thread and other threads about the English, id like to just state that’s it’s been amiable, good natured back and forth for the most part. And I’d like to just set the record straight and say that the English are cool.

I think the difference is that this is a light hearted thread very much in keeping with the spirit of the forum. The subject and culture is one that the vast majority are personally familiar with, live among day in - day out and are very comfortable joking about.

Something tells me that the thread you propose wouldn't have quite the same qualities.

My post was more In regard to my feelings following a recent experience. I was enquiring if anyone else had the same experience. I have never heard “I‘m from Norris Green me lad” belted out around the pool I don’t even understand the significance.
