I watched the WBA v Everton game today and McCarthy was gash

Ah, makes sense. I only ask the question because I've always thought he looks a decent player but was poor today. I rate Mulumbu a lot, think you obviously missed him and Chris Brunt was thankfully anonymous because he's played well against us before.

Just two more questions if you don't mind:

1) Why is Jonas Olsson such a monumental helmet?

2) Berahino. Scared you'll lose him or is he not as good as made out?

Chris Brunt has been poor for a long time. I think we've got a classic example of players becoming stale and Brunt, Morrison and Dorrans currently seem to be falling into that category. Olsson, many years ago was a great, no nonsense defender but he like others I've just mentioned seems to have become stale and comfortable within his surroundings. I can't wait for the return of Lescott because at the moment we quite obviously need him.

As for Berahino - he started well last year but faded when he got his contract extension. He has an attitude problem and it was highlighted when James Morrison punched him last season but this year he appears to be knuckling down and getting on with the job. I thought he was probably our best player today and if something was going to happen then it was going to happen through him. Regardless, at whatever point we sell him we'll guaranteed some good money purely because he's now classed as English and has the potential to score goals if he's given the service (service he won't get with us).

Same for me, there's about 8 clubs I'd rather have go down before the baggies, always had a soft spot for them.

I guess we're all our own harshest critics, for a team that prides itself on possession we couldn't keep hold of the ball to save our lives first half. 2nd half was a different story especially after the second goal but we scored 2 only because of 2 big mistakes from olsson and foster.

If you had big Vic on the pitch he'd of scored

Chelsea scored 3 goals against us due to comical mistakes and a linesman blunder.

The singing was really good, was watching on a stream but you could hear it better than I have for a long time - proper good chants and constant in the second half. Didn't they do the "Here we go" song at some point? That made me smile.

Why are people slagging McCarthy off again? He was fine today - we played with two out and out wingers which meant we were exposed. McCarthy did fine. Naismith and McGeady both poor - Mirallas got into it more second half.

Familiar story mate. Was hoping he might get a run of fitness going but he seems to be just one of those players who are constantly going to pick up injuries unfortunately.

OK maybe not ultra gash but didn't play good enough in my book. While he is playing below his normal standards why not bench him and try Gibson or Besic until his fitness/mentality/form/hunger is better. Only my opinion mate just like you have one that I disagree with.
