Even though Wolfsburg haven't started great, they're still a team to be wary of. Players like De Bruyne, Rodriguez, Arnold, Vieirinha etc. will cause any team problems as they have a number of talented youngsters. Suggestions of putting a B team out would come back to bite us on Thursday.

Not a B team lid. Just rotating one or two players. Nothing wrong with that and in fact I fully expect the manager to do so.

I usually just post I LOVE McCARTHY!!!! in every match thread but I would agree with a couple of posters that he was very bad yesterday. His worst game for us so far I think. It wasn't just a mistake at the end, there was misjudging bounces and slicing clearances and poor passing. He also totally reverted to only passing backwards. The great thing is, I'm sure that will all be very rare in what will be a superb Everton career!

Barry absolutely head and shoulders above the rest I think, in a pretty average game.

Now lets win September!

I don't think they were aimed at Chris Brunt - although a few might have been.

There was a chant of "Irvine where's your subs" minutes before and it happened to be Brunt that got hauled off to the sound of ironic cheers.

The game had been dead and buried for a long while and it was obvious to anybody that we needed some changes about five or ten minutes after half time. Unsurprisingly, Alan left it forever again and we were 2-0 down by that point and you were cruising.

he's been moyes' staff member for years - i'm not surprised ha

Would play a strong side against wolfsburg, it's Krasnador away that we need to field a complete B team. With liverpool and Utd away in the same week Krasnador has to be:

Howard
Hibbert Jagielka Alcaraz Baines

Besic Gibson

Mcgeady Osman Atsu

Eto'o

No no no no no no no no no no no no no no

Risk coleman getting injured on a cold Russian night or the fatigue of playing against liverpool, Utd and a long trip back and to from Russia in the space of a week? Absolutely no chance he's too vital for the team.

We could play our strongest side against Krasnador and still lose as it's a very tough away match. It's one of those that you snatch a point at, beat all 3 sides at home and we will get past the group stages

Agree except I'd rather play Browning ahead of Hibbert.

I agree with this, but I'd even say just send our complete second string out there. A team of the following might nick a point out there, and I'd rather risk it than get battered by both Liverpool and United away because we were too tired.

Robles
Hibbert Browning Stones Garbutt
Gibson Besic
Atsu Osman McGeady
Eto'o

We've worked hard to qualify for Europe mate, why would we jeopardise it mate by fielding significantly weakened teams?

Just my view and it probably won't be popular as its a risk. But a tough game out in the middle of nowhere sandwiched between two very tough away games, I'd rather risk us qualifying by winning our other games, and actually turn up in the league too.
