Massive over reaction on here after that. Yes we played poor which we have done very rarely this season. We were missing two of our best players in Ross and Pienaar. We got beat 2 nil there last season. We are a point of fourth goin into the derby. Yes it was disappointing but people need to calm down a bit. The season is not over ffs

It was the lateness of the substitutions that worried me - Osman clearly can only play for 50 minutes he was dog tired - and the long ball game reminded me of the DM era - our midfield was so so poor in the 2nd half - prob the worst performance of the season?!

It's so easy to forget Lukaku is 20 years old. The lad needs someone to share the load up front so hopefully Traore can do that.

Oh i completely agree. If you look at his stats for WBA last season, he easily started 9-10 games on the bench and came on and made the impact, the one that springs to mind WBA win at Anfield and the 5-5 against United, he needs a break, cause the lad looks destroyed out there.

24 interceptions from West Brom to Everton's 9, a hallmark of Pepe Mel coached teams

We were passing to the west brom players half the time, like.

On a side point, there was a 20 minute spell in that second half which was just absolute nothingness. I zoned out a few times

im not having the injuries or wba playing well as excuses.
they look and played like a pub team , they were junk.
we had them there for the taking and we just caved in. why ? becouse players (especially in midfield) didnt perform and got even worse in the second half and were not subbed soon enough.
wba didnt win a draw with good play , we lost a win with poor play.

We haven't played poorer than that this year mate. Shocking 2nd half as you'll see. Apart from the freekick by kev, didn't threaten at all

Oh no, as i said in my earlier post i agree, awful tonight. But i meant we've played poorer and won in certain games, as opposed to games we've been great and not won. With Stoke and Sunderland as playing well and not winning, and Hull as being poor and winning!

Well that was pretty crap wasn't it ? Right from the kick-off no urgency or tempo from us which went on until they equalised. Poor performances from most of them, giving away possession constantly, more 'direct' football in one game than we have seen all season, no subs until it was too late....poor from all concerned and that includes the manager. After the poor display last week despite getting the result it's all a bit worrying just before the derby. Although injuries and suspension were always going to kick in at some point and we are badly missing Barkley and also missed Pienaar tonight. With Coleman and Osman now looking like they could be out as well and Lukaku needing someone challenging him for his place it's over to you Bill...

Everytime in that 2nd half we were 2nd to the lose balls. Yes some luck is involved with ricochets but everything went to them. Some of the gaps at the back are alarming and I'm just thankful it was west brom we played tonight.

That pitch was awful bouncy i thought. Grass was very very short, so i guess it was hard to settle and play our normal game.
