I have now reconciled myself to a lost 2 points (lucky it was not 3!)...I am officially over that game and preparing for the next one...COYB

PS...a bit of hairdryer would not go amiss RM

Did we drop into the bottom three last night?

Simply, we missed the creativity and control of Barkley, Pienaar and Gerard....we relied on a forward midfield of Osman and Oviedo who is essentially a fullback/ wing back. At the same time we had several who had a poor game, and a team pumped by a new boss. 19 draws shared this season....was it really such a shock result?

Can anyone give us a genuine bview on the game, couldnt watch it last night due to the missus being pissed off over us over something and thus had to have a night of being a good boy :(

First half...generally on top...not great football, but not gash like. Mirallas scored a decent goal. Oviedo has a chance or two.

Second half...more even, they might have even won the half. Pretty sloppy if I'm honest. Good headed goal for them, it had been coming in that spell. We nearly nicked it at the end. Subs were 'meh'

Overall we were below the standards set at Old Trafford and the Emirates, but in all fairness, we didn't have a full strength squad. Lacked creativity.

Coleman came off injured, which is certainly not ideal. Overall it's 2 points dropped, but I will say that WBA always looked like they had a goal or two in them.

It was a Moyes Everton performance last night, sloppy passing throughout, ball bouncing off our centre forward,no driving runs from Mccarthey. Never looked like winning but never really looked like losing. Frustrating that yet again we fail to take our chance with regards to moving up the table. Just hope we dont make that much of a meal of Stevenage then get ready for the neighbours.

While I understand our lack of creativity what with the absence of Pienaar/Barkley/Deulofeu the crazy part was just how uninvolved Barry and McCarthy were 2nd half. I think last night's game (read: 2nd half) was the highest percentage long-balls we've played this season, also widest general play.

I agree with Gibbo's rant on twitter though.
Was a bad day. A draw away at West Brom isn't 'terrible' considering the injuries we have atm.
However the performance was very disappointing.
Let's get these boys recovered for the derby in 2 weeks then.

We can not draw or lose games when we have a chance to go in the top four really we should have put the game to bed we took a one nil lead and then as it says on bbc sport we had a poor second half and we should have a brill first and second half we should be happy we got a point really we shold of got all three points.

anyone think that was a tactic to combat WBA's pressing? They pressed aggressively throughout the whole match and had a high defensive line, which we managed to exploit in the 1st half until we went badly gash 2nd half.

Last night coming back from the game i was as annoyed and frustrated as anyone.
After having a really nice sleep my outlook is much better.
Yes we didnt play well and yes we got what we deserved, but how many of you would of bit someones hand off if someone said going into the anfield derby we are a point of 4th.
Liverpool have got us, wba away and arsenal at home next 3 games, if they win all them then they deserve to be 4th, same with spurs if they beat city.
We were missing our most creative players last night and it showed but unfortunatly what can we do about it, everyone having a pop at lukaku are bieng abit overly harsh too imo, the lad is 20 years old and playing as a loan striker for a club chasing champions league with no back up what so ever when he has an off day it shows as we have no 2nd option, hopefully traore will change that. Name a player who had that sort of weight on his shoulders at that age with no oportunity ti get pulled out. He is making good runs and maybe trying a little to hard but we are not playing to his strenghs at the moment. Even if we lose the derby we are only 4 points behind the rs so need to rely in them to slip up and as i said before if they dont than they (well probably saurez anyway) deserve that 4th spot. Stop ya moaning blues

What was with the long balls last night? Lukaku stank the place out, Baines was way below his best, Where was McCarthy? maybe I need to give West Brom credit for making us look poor.

West brom were equally as poor as us and that's the only reason we didn't loose, but even so if we had come away with nothing I don't think we could have complained because that's what our drop in performance merited. Up there with when we lost to Bolton 2 0 a couple of seasons ago for gashness. We were so slow in our build up, back to long balls that couldn't be held up and lethargic first touches that west brom were right on top of. Every second ball was theirs as well.
