Oh, then how come Burnley sre higher up the table than Baggies?

Because they don't leak a stupid quantity of goals. Burnley would be mid-table if they could find the back of the net with a map.

WBA is in the relegation zone because, like Burnley, they don't score but also concede over two per game on average. They've hit a recent patch of defensive form, which is why they've taken five from nine with two goals.

Huge game for us today. So many times in the past we have had the opportunity to make a statement and have failed to do so. If we win today, we go fourth and i will actually start to believe. Please blues make it happen.

That is what concerns me, it is how BFS has got them playing.

Interestingly recent analyses have reasoned why our away form is better than home. It is down to less possession , defending in strength getting the ball up quickly for a breakaway, like at Anfield. In home games it is pointed out that we have a lot more possession and do not move as quickly.

So keep hopes up for tonight to add to our away list.

Massive deflation of optimism bubble estimated c 8:10pm.....just too used to it at this stage to see any other scenario ☹️

Mate If that slug was still here we would be in Brighton /Burnley territory
I get that no one liked him or the way he sets out his teams and one of our most unpopular managers we’ve had.....
But one thing he did do was get results with limited players or have I missed something?

What an opportunity to go 4th now, given the results from yesterday. No disrespect to WBA, but if we want to finish in the European places, we need to beat sides like this. I can imagine it will be close though, they have improved a bit recently and I'm sure their last result will have given them a bit of confidence. Hopefully we score early and they crumple. COYBs
