....I know what you mean, although it’s often players with the ability to go past players that create opportunities against a well organised defence. We don’t have many of that type, perhaps Iwobi.
Yes. Beats four players and hoofs it to the opposite side of the pitch and out of play...actually quite like him but his final ball needs a lot of work.

Sorry mate Allardyce was not needed at this club ever. He served up 90 minutes of torture week in week out.
He took over us in 13th, Not forgetting we went 10th after his 1st game 2-0 v Huddersfield. we were 2 points off 9th or 4 points off 8th with 23 games left. He well & truly could have turned people's thinking of him, but didnt ,& just continue's to say many Lie's - he has never took over a team as high up as we
were, and we were never in as much trouble as made out for me

Never forgetting that over 3 months after he had been with us lol

I don’t disagree with that but he’s made a career by keeping clubs in the premier league and doing it ugly. That’s his point of difference. He’s the manager clubs turn to when they are desperate.
I just feel he probably did what he was expected/told to do. Hence the short contract.
Anyway thankfully we’ve moved on.

We must always remember in these games...

Win the battle first to win the game...

Things do not happen...

Things are made to happen...

There is no elevator to success...

You have to take the stairs...
I couldn't tell whether that was from Confucius or Socrates. Then I noticed the word 'elevator'.

Didn't we go something like 4 matches without a shot on target? Dark times.

We would have been no worse off (and much better off financially) if we had left Unsworth in charge. Allardyce deserves credit for NOTHING. I just wish it was possible to eradicate any mention of him in connection with this club.
Thankfully we have moved on as you say.

This is is it for me. I was of the opinion that he’s only ever managed crap teams with no money and he did also do a great job at Bolton and brought in Jay-Jay Okocha to entertain once they sorted the defence so maybe he is able to do something different. Sadly he played anti-football and aside from the funniest ever draw at Anfield (Rooney scoring a pen into the kop with I think our only shot in the game?) there was nothing good about his time here.

Good test for where they're at.
WLorD its all about getting proper competitive for titles.
Which is why I hoping to see Allan and Davies in the centre together at some stage.
I'd start w diamond mid: Coleman, Davies, Doucs and James on top.
And Allan coming on for Doucs and Iwobi for Coleman.
Whatever way, UTFT

Unsworth and (in hindsight) Big Dunc could have got passionate fighting performances which just kept us up ...

winning 3 in a row of the type of matches we are currently having will be a huge huge step forward for us
Normally we would 100% draw or lose one of West Brom or Southampton after a special victory like we had last week.
