Carlo on Champions League hopes​

I forgot that there was that game & maybe Liverpool or Chelsea can be in the top four. It doesn't matter. We want to be there & to see how it feels.
Apart from this 3pts are important to stay in the fight... We want to be there until the last game
I think for every player, their ambition is to play at the top & the Champions League
is the top competition. For this reason I think the motivation of the players is really high. It's a step forward for their careers

It's great to see an Everton boss using this sort of language..... I like the fact we are facing this opportunity dead-on and not skirting it... Carlo's ambition laid bare for both players and supporters

I’d be perfectly content with a 1-0 away win snoozefest

Can't give them encouragement, and that means starting well. We started decently against Southampton, need to get on top and not let them build up a head of steam with daft free kicks / corners.

I'd love to say we'll go there and win comfortably 2-0/3-0 (something with the quality we have we should be capable of), but Everton being Everton I expect us to make an almighty meal of it.

Think we'll nick it though. 1-2.
