Terrible game, the point comes in handy, but, three points were there for the taking, we really should have been playing much further up the pitch, West Ham were dire, even worse than us. Went with Pickford for MOTM, I thought Mangala was solid once again and Ndiaye's close control and lightening quick feet were a joy to watch. Gana was poor today and Mykolenko was all over the place, he really is struggling this season.

…I think Beckham and Giggs under SAF set the blueprint for wide players working the length of the pitch and it’s the done thing in the modern game.

I get your point about ‘defensive wingers’ v ‘attacking wingers’ but I don’t particularly see players like Harrison doubling up on opposition wide players. Labelling them ‘defensive’ is more about their lack of attacking quality in this squad, not forgetting Lindstrom played ahead of Young today.

I just think Mykolenko is looking a bit exposed at the minute.
We set up with a winger who will occupy almost the same space as the full back when going forward, which is pointless/mindless. The same thing happens on the right most the time with Harrison in the team, and it leads to a lack of any forward play - there are no ovarlaps, no deep crosses, Dyche doesn't do that despite insisting on hoofs, they just play a few short passes and inevitably lose the ball as they're 10 meters away from each other and have to track back instantly. It's hilariously predictable and afraid football, and involving SAF in this discussion is an insult to both SAF and football in general.

Funnily enough the only time we didn't set up like that was when Godfrey was in the team towards the end and he actually did the unthinkable and played the ball forward, thus instantly elevating him above everyone else who seems to be instructed to crap their pants when they venture slightly past the halfway line. No doubt he just wasn't instructed to do that.

Anyway as you'll probably also misunderstand this, and to simplify - quote/vault me when McNeil is back playing and chasing shadows ahead of Mykolenko and he looks solid enough, as I can't explain this to you apparently.

…yep.

London stadium is turd, would like to be able to comment properly on the game but wishing I had binoculars to know who was doing what. Overall 2 very poor teams, but felt we were the better team and should have been ahead. When they made their 3 subs they took control. We are a little predictable and our subs did nothing. We are absolutely terrible in the final 1/3.

well done for going mate

you deserve more

your mrs say that mate?

ha ha - it looks awful that ground like a metal cage!

is it that bad on outside to?
I mean the location is pretty cool, but yes I would say crap inside and outside for a football stadium. I'm sure they can spend a few quid to improve. I imagine the west ham fans are gutted as there is no connection with where they came from and nothing really to get excited about going forward. Had a few games at Upton park and that was a proper stadium. So i imagine overall the fans are gutted!
