What pleases me most so far is that we appear to have in Martinez a manager that can spot the blatantly obvious flaws in a plan, fair enough we'd have all liked Lukaku and probably McCarthy from the start and first half it didn't work. He saw that and he changed it. I'm not having a dig at Moyes because he's gone and I couldn't give a toss, but it's just nice to make observations about a game that are fairly obvious to everyone and then see that the manager has spotted them and is quick to act on it, long may it continue.

Credit to roberto for having the balls to make the changes at half time instead of giving them another 10 or 15 minutes like others would have. We were ****e first half but second half when the tempo increased and osman got moved from the middle, we looked boss.

also credit to barkley, two free kicks led to the goals thanks to his determination to take the ball and run at the defence drawing the fouls in the first place.

Friggin' buzzin'!

Firstly, to the lad who weren't happy about the score being posted, as you know, people get cobs on as soon as we let a goal in, so you can't really expect incisive posts of their goals. Something I have learned following on here. Having said that, I shouldn't have negged you, it was petty, I understand what it is like when you want to know what is going on and you are only getting dribs.

In the space of a week, suddenly our start looks excellent.

Thought Mirallas was great today, best game this season. Lukaku is a force of nature. Baines is a fantastic player, obviously his goals will take the plaudits, but his second half was supreme

In Barkley interview, he was saying Moyes was going to play him at the age of 16 but broke his leg, he didn't seem to want to play him at all last season, no way is he blind? was he trying to keep the price down as he knew he was off to Man u.

DM Barkley away at Arsenal outstanding in a 0-0 draw = dropped! Barkley gave a pen away at Blackburn - banished from the team! do not defend the Ginger Numpty!

Not quite. He was persisting with that stiff Osman until his injury

is that him on ****face? brilliant he's still using the "we"...was my favourite player for quite a bit...borderline legend he was for us.

I wouldn't even use that qualifier. Cahill was a legend for us. Ballon d'or nominee and wholeheartedly committed to the club for every second of his time here.

Him and Duncan Ferguson are the only two I'd use the term legend for in the modern era and feel comfortable doing so.
