What a contrast of halves. People have said on here that it is refreshing that we now have a manager who is proactive and knows his stuff. Yes I agree Moyes would of probably kept it the same until late on in the game.
Good away win in the end. Still rough around the edges but its a learning curve for all concerned and its for the benefit of the long term.

moved him from the centre though. osman's pretty naismithish on the right, but it's still a massive difference from his anonymousness in the centre. their first goal came from the space where he should be standing. anyway, no need to focus on the negatives atm.

In real time it looked a pen to be honest, but in the super slo-mo, well, lets say he went down quite easily. It was a stupid bit of play by a few players at the time, so something was going to happen!

Nolan got to the ball first, but in my opinion McCarthy didn't touch him, minimal if any contact anyway.

Barkley has his ups and down during a match. As expected when you are 19.
Thought Jagielka had a very poor performance, hopefully he has touch his bottom level.
Baines was quiet in 1 half, but more himself in second half. Two goals was terrific.
Lukaku is our new target man, strong and an eye for goal

Coleman- quiet, not at his level : 6
Distin - average.: 7
Jagielka - must improve big time. Poor passings : 4
Baines - get his point because of two wonderful goals : 8
Mirallas - quiet first half, blossomed when Lukaku got on: 7
Barry - did his work quietly : 7
Osman - not his best start of the season, bench next?: 5
Naismith - tried to get into scoring positions, much of his time going inside trying to link with Jelavic. Better than Osman : 6
Barkley - so much talent. Glimpses of what we can get, but lost the ball in danger positions : 7
Jelavic - same performance than the last 20 games : 5
Lukaku - what can I say ? : 8
McCarthy - not his best game, gave away a penalty. Not worth 13 mill at all : 6.
