I feel quite alone in being satisfied with that result. Bilic has got a few good players there and they are playing well. Not one team in the PL would go there and expect a nailed on 3 points but for some reason many on here do. We played away and earned a fair result without hanging on as we used to.
you're never alone on GOT chum

think of us as just one big internet pyschiatric ward

"teams like these" are teams which won at Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City......:celebrate:

You get a good laugh on the match thread all right :)

How do you expect to a) win the league or b) get in a champions league spot if you are satisfied with a point away to one of the league's classically mediocre teams? A team that historically fought relegation in many years or yo-yo'd between the championship and the premier league. They've been a little better of late but they are by no means a top side.

This is a side that Everton have beaten six times out of the last nine games. A side that have only beaten us once in the last 20.

It's your ambition that is laughable. A good point? We'll be in 9th place by Sunday night. Not good enough for me.

I think the gaps closed due to the increased money. It's more competitive. We haven't drastically changed our team because we already have a very good team. And there's something to be said for building a team and not chopping and changing all the time. I still think we'll come good as the start to the season has been very tough opposition (mostly) - points lost with swansea, red shi..

Agree to an extent but West Ham are utilising the loan market successfully something we also did 2 seasons back but for some reason don't bother anymore.

Lanzini and Moses are both on loan and look miles more effective going forward than Lennon, Jenkinson and Song also are on loan. West Ham also spent under £15 million for Payet and Sakho, two players who would walk into our side.

I think unless the board go we will only look like improving should we cash in on one of our top players and hopefully invest the £40 million or so received well on 3-4 good signings.
