What’s in a name ?

Names though lads …. They give a lot away. I was in school with a lad named Tobias, he had brothers named George, Edward and Quentin. Raging Tories the lot of them. What other names do you associate with a person trait ?

As a teacher n my eaeloer career I was always wary of anybody called Wayne, Dwayne, Chloe or Amber. As time passed it became those people with "aren't we special" parents' funky spellings - like Charlee , Chardonee, Chelsay.

I can barely bring myself to say this but my sister has a son called Edward which is bad enough. But they decided to call him Bear, now everyone but me and my Mrs calls him Bear. Winds me up something rotten. The swear rules won’t let me describe them all how I want to but I’m ashamed to be related to them for it.

Whats wrong with Grace and Eugene?

When I was growing up a large portion of kids were given religious names or named after saints so I was forever surrounded by Marys, Johns and Patricks. I dont mind kids having unusual names or very ancient names. Its the misspelling of them I object to. Putting an 'i' at the end like Toni or Macei. Each to their own I suppose.
