What’s in a name ?

When we pick up the grandkids from school we are surrounded by kids called Archer,Zero,Eugene Ada and Grace. I fear we my never see anymore Brians,Dereks,Grahams, Susans or Janes for another couple of generations, long after I'm brown bread!
What goes around comes around , 50 years back you would never have heard any babies called Edward, Harry, Thomas, Elizabeth Alice etc
 

Tracy for a female always raises an eyebrow.
Angela's always seem nice.
Margaret is my mother in laws as well as thatcher, say no more.
Roger ; daftness.
Dave ;sound.
Tommy (without the e);sound.
John or sconehead; sound.
Angus ; gobshite.
Craig;sound
Callum;sound.

I'm 47 and I've met quite a lot of Thomases and Elizabeths in my age group, and I've met a few Alices and Edwards too. Harry not so much.
 

I was speaking to an ex school teacher about names the other day.
When she was pregnant her and her fella would discuss the name for the upcoming baby.
Shed think of a nice name,then realise one of her pupils, ex or current, of that name was a little brat...so had to rethink.
