Hi mate

Nice one for the reply.

I've ended up buying the rega 1, got it cheap for 230

This for a quick cheap amp

And those for just a quick set up

Again, its just something for now.

Nice one, I appreciate the text back.

I will let you know how I get on. ??
Good luck. I don't know the amp that you referenced.
I suspect that the RP1 will be the best quality component in your system.
That's not a bad thing. Most hifi enthusiast's say to get the best possible source you can afford and build from there.
When you upgrade , check out ex demo products from hifi shops , it's a great way to buy components that you otherwise couldn't afford but you know they have been well looked after and not abused.
In the past I've had amps that were 20years old and still sounding sweet.
Even now my speakers are about 10 years old.

Thanks mate , very much appreciated ?

One of the top three Kinks' songs in my useless opinion - absolutely outstanding writing. I used to think that it was a satire on suburban life, but I think it can also be seen as almost a paean to suburbia. Whatever the meaning, I love it.

So many great Kinks songs to choose from but for me also it's right up there with Ray's best.

This too...

I'll always remember this one from my days as a little runt...

I'd get angry or throw a tantrum because I wasn't allowed to stay up and watch movies or get that really cool toy that I wanted or watch cartoons etc...

And my old man would sing this song to me just to take the piss:

Cheeky old git!

Kudos to your old man for even knowing the song :D It's from that late 70s/ early 80s period that was a bit mixed - some I liked, such as this song, while others seemed more aimed at their American fans.

I think he still has a bunch of Kink vinyls from his misbegotten youth...

He kept most of his albums from the 60's onwards. He's a proper hoarder! lol

This album was not as good as White Pony I thought.

This was around the time that Chino put on a lot of weight and he looked like the state puft marshmallow man!
There was one music video where he was holding the microphone like it was a fried chicken leg. I thought he was going to eat it! lol

Damned if I could remember which music video it was.
