The beauty with Naim is that , properly serviced, it lasts forever and still sounds fantastic.Don't know much about the music but just googled Naim and that set up must've cost a fair whack?!

To put things in perspective, I've just bought a second hand Technics 505 mini stack on eBay to replace my wife's old Hitachi!The beauty with Naim is that , properly serviced, it lasts forever and still sounds fantastic.
Some of it I bought new ,some pre loved. Because of its quality the 2nd hand values are still strong and it holds it's value in a way that normal electronics don't .
So, yes the stuff can be expensive but very very rarely do you buy the system in one go. You tend to start at the introduction level and upgrade as you wish.
Their top of the range models are insanely expensive . I asked my dealer how many statement power amps he sold ( retail for over £75 k I think) and to whom.
He said that in the last 6 months he had sold about 8 and only one was bought by a footballer! You would think that you would have to be on crazy dough to afford it but he maintains that normal guys ( almost exclusively men ) with normal jobs are his main clientele.
And yes you definitely can hear a massive difference in the sound quality.
