The Datsuns were so good, and still going. First saw them supporting The Pattern at the Fleece in Bristol. They filmed the video for their first single that night. Met them afterwards, and at other gigs since then… proper sound blokesAnother band who I saw around the same time as Jet and who I also thought would be massive, was a band from New Zealand, called the Datsuns - hard core Garage rock.
At the time, Liverpool Uni used to do Battle of the Bands night and they’d have some cracking bands on.
