Yeah I thought the singles that I weren't mad on sound better in the album. Favourite is still comfortably the best thing on there for me, but of course I'm gonna say that when it's the lovechild of Age of Consent by New Order and The Cure.Fountaines D.C. album is pretty good. Disappointing that there were no further 80s indie inspired tracks on there. Surprising amount of "slow" and 90s Brit inspired songs on there too. Will need another few listens I think but at the moment it hasn't met my high expectations. Still prefer them more moody though. The 3 song run that ends Skinty Fia is still my favourite thing they've done.
Also is there a song title in existence worse than Horseness is the Whatness? I don't think there is.
