What should the new stadium look like?

Of course. I said it's normal for families.

But is a kid born growing up in a Man U supporting family going to say "No, I don't want to support Man U, I want to support Everton"? Maybe one in 10,000.

Is a kid growing up in an Augsburg supporting family going to say "No, I want to support Bayern Munich."? This is far more likely.

If a kid is growing up in a family with no real support of a team, will he or she choose Everton over the other big teams in the NW?

Like I say, it's not a bad thing, it's natural because the other teams have more success or are challenging at this moment.

Anyway, this came about because someone said if Bayern can do it, why can't we? If people cannot see the difference, I cannot help.
Look how popular Leicester has become after winning the prem. Winning creates a fan base. Winning in style creates a fan base and a legacy. Things currently out of reach atm but hopefully not for much longer. A big stadium you can see prem football in, soak it up, enjoy the city and the experience. People who visit the ground become Everton fans, and that shall be strengthened hopefully in a few years.
Your status is probably more 1 in 50-100 for alternate teams. In Merseyside I'd say 1 in 10 end up with a child not supporting the same Merseyside team as their parents. This was because it was easy to go with your mates in the past. This isn't as affordable now, and likely a reason Everton will overtake Liverpool in the city if we remain available to families, friends, and visitors. That's why we should go 60k
Not all of this post is aimed at you, chunky! Pusa ;)

Don't think man u have done much since I stopped following them since tbf.

Beautiful bit of kit that, my only problem is that Meis has said it will not look like any current new stadium.

But what does that mean Dan!!!!

Me too, Salfordian and Blue !!!
Chrismpw, where in Salford are you from?

Is the Liverbird copyrighted by "!$%$%8^%$$^" team over the way? or even by the council maybe? Not for our club emblem no way, but would be nice to see them as walking to the new stadium, kinda like the old wembley towers dominated the old wembley

Holy smoke, I lived on Saxby Street, off Claremount Road at the Irlam o'th Heights end till 1974.
Went to Salford Grammar ;)
Small world eh?
I had a great auntie uncle up at Irlam o'th Heights... Something like fairfax / fairfield St. I struggle to remember. Of course my favourite sweet shop was up there too.
Had a stroll around there last September, showing the missus my old haunts around light oaks Park. Was on my way to a one day cricket match at Old Trafford, which was a birthday treat.
I went to de la Salle prep, then, because the college closed onto St Lawrence's for first year secondary, in 1977 before my parents decided to move down to near Bournemouth (I hated that!).
