That's a "modern, iconic looking stadium" there. Not that brick one.
I would expect and hope for something like this.
Kind of looks like a Viking ship, which would suit the docks tbf.

This is just the kind of innovative thinking that we need. I like it.
It could save us abar £20 too as we'd only need to buy 3 corner flags![]()
absolutely no gaps in the stadium......none!!
Looks like a school.I'm a fan of the Owen Field exterior in OKC

Obviously you'd have to consider more covered seating e.t.c. and to integrate a changeable playing surface like they have in Lille would be awesome, but that kind of steel, glass and Red brick exterior would be perfect IMO
Which is why the use of a glass wall there with a roof overhang would protect the stadium from the wind and elements but still provide a spectacular view and lots of natural sunlight. I think the outside of this particular stadium is a bit drab, but I like the shape.
The School of Science m8Looks like a school.
I'm not opposed to a bowl, if you can get the design right then it can be boss (See the Maracana)
That being said, if you get a bowl wrong it can be a soulless hole where exuberance goes to die
If we do go for a bowl, then I think the stands need to be as close to pitch side as possible to make sure there's still some atmosphere
It's definitely something they're wary of. Chatted to Meis on Tuesday in C&F, and he was talking about how bad he thinks the Emirates design is for this reason.
He was talking alot about steep stands and proximity to the pitch. I didn't get the impression that he's got a bowl design in mind, but if he does it definitely won't be in the traditional Arsenal/City mould.
This scenario could only work if the rocket is positioned on the half way line directly under the retractable roof![]()
Personally i think some sort of secret underground lair may be the way to go..........
Leave a gap for the away side in second half ..absolutely no gaps in the stadium......none!!
Glass wall. You would fry in the sum
How about oval then we could do away with corner flags altogether! This is just the kind of innovative thinking that we need. I like it.
