What should the new stadium look like?

Don't like that one souless to me,got to give you a wow factor that doesn't,imo.
I've been, it's not that great. You access both upper and lower tiers from the same concourses, making it seem a lot smaller. Also, as stated, the coorporate stuff is all bottom tiers longside.

Yeah there's a lot of extras in that Vikings Stadium that we can't afford, but I do like the shape, and as I've mentioned several times, I do love the idea of the windows in both the Vikings stadium and Lucas Oil.

I'm totally with you on asymmetrical. Which is a feature I love in the Vikings Stadium as well.

On cost keep in mind, building a 55-60k seater won't cost as much as a 70-80k seater. Lop off the upper deck on both of those. However I don't want us to scrimp on things like renewable energy for the stadium and other forward thinking design elements. I big box with four stands and some roofing over the seats? No way.

The Roma stadium is estimated at 400m. I would take something like that but Evertonised. It is unrealistic to expect anything like these NFL stadiums that generally cost north of a billion using public funds and include a huge amount of corporate facilities that we will not need to the same level

From the link @YellowSweat provided:

"Overview

Our process relies extensively on research and exploration. While sports venue design in the United States has trended to copycat, formulaic design over the past three decades, we believe each project is uniquely grounded in the history and context of its specific location and event.

Fans feel a visceral connection to the games, clubs, and brands that we design for and it is critical that we understand how that experience differs for each category of fan.

We begin each project with a "deep dive" into the history and geography of a project's location, the culture of the club's fans, unique aspects of the fan experience and behavior, and the business model and vision of our clients. This research forms the basis of exploration that very quickly results in illustrative reference imagery, sketches, and study models – both physical and digital –that engages the client in an extremely collaborative back and forth as we develop a design specifically tailored to their needs and goals".

All very promising we'll get something we can all be proud of that is "ours".

This one (the Jets stadium) is a WOW for me

That's a "modern, iconic looking stadium" there. Not that brick one.
I would expect and hope for something like this.

Think of the jobs created for lads with squigees on the roof though.
If we did get a clear roof there's technology being developed now that could solve the bird poo problem.

You're going to be able to get the last bit of sauce or whatever out of the bottle. It will simply pour out to the last drop. No shaking and banging the bottle, which doesn't work, anyway.

They could coat the roof with whatever they're coating the inside of the bottles with and incorporate an automatic
hosing set up that would fix it at the flick of a switch.

These American stadiums seem to have the worst End stands in the world. I know it's a different culture over there so it doesn't matter to them but I hope he knows that it's the key part to our culture and atmosphere.

Or they could just use Pilkington Activ glass that has a coating on it which breaks down any dirt and washes off when it rains
