What should the new stadium look like?

I had a similar thought regarding moveable seats. You know it's kind of cool if we had a window looking out to the graces, but it wastes area that we could have seats in. So my idea is to have lots of little tiers of say 5 rows one on top of each other, then when the stadium isn't full we can tilt them horizontally so we can see out or perhaps even pull them up to the roof and they can slot together to take up the minimum amount of space possible.

Sometimes i just don't know where i get my ideas from... That reminds me i got to shut these blinds, the sun is in my eyes :)

Moveable seats?

I never used to like American stadiums. They all seemed to be one tier, open air, huge bowl type stadiums. Boring to look at, probably crap for atmosphere and not suited to our climate!

More recently, there are a lot of quirky and unique designs being built in the USA. In Europe, we are seeing lots of multi-tier bowl stadiums being built with a lower tier, a mid-level club/corporate level, and an upper tier. A whole generation of identikit stadiums are being built. Understandable..but it would be nice if we could be different.

I like the idea of a 'city view' end of the ground. They do it well in the USA....mainly because there is a view of something worth looking at!!

What Americans do well is to understand that a match day is a also an event day, not just a short match. They build a venue that gets people in as early as possible and are happy to stay in after the game has finished. All this time, they are spending money!!!!

A typical match day, stadium experience in the UK..... Crap food, warm beer, overpriced and poor quality. Fans turn up at the ground as late as possible and rush to leave as soon as possible. There is a reason for this!

I agree that's why i think the new spurs ground has taken advantage of that and putting in their own micro brewery with the longest bar in the UK or something. Loads of restaurants etc. Not sure if there is room on the bm dock to build the ground bigger etc to fit that all in. But yeah do like that idea

Jeff from west derby wants us to have an outdated stadium with one big stand, not near town with minimal traffic disruption...

I would be more than happy if that was our stadium

I know a lot of you have looked at the stadium designs on the meisstudio website but I have just had a browse through the "Arena" section on the site and there are some really interesting design ideas that can be scaled up or incorporated in a full size stadium.

I do want to see the full details on how big the site will actually be. Being able to have people come inside the stadium for a drink before and after the game would be a big revenue producer.

This one (the Jets stadium) is a WOW for me

Don't believe so, the configuration is either patio doors open or shut. The opposite end has a smaller window at the top and more seating below so perhaps you were looking at a picture of that?

That would explain it, nice one

Not that we could afford retractable seats on our budget anyway, a big window with a view of the river would be good though

Wow, something like this with the crowd close to the pitch, a massive single steep home end and maybe some brickwork on the outside as a nod to the surroundings and you have a winner.
I especially like the nautical theme.

Standing area would be good and reduced prices for those of us who want to stand would get another 5-10 thousand on the gate imo......can this be sorted during brexit negotiations plz.
