I love it how positive and patient Meis has been with us. im sure he's bombarded with questions 24/7. he's given so many hints already it would be awesome if someone would could make a summary out of those tweets.

one thing i know. it wont be bowl - stands atleast - and it will have blue seats (a shocker x)

metoo mate and the fact he's assured us that ittl be nothing like other grounds
and the fans will be took in to consideration with what they want, plus he's a blue?
aint he .. im sure anyway. looks all good :p

it's actually a bit daft to keep referring to NFL stadiums (ive been doing it with Lucas Oil stadium) but i quess those can be used as a base of inspiration. ."something like that" -like...

i have fallen into lucas oil cause of our site. we are in waterfront...i would love if our new stadium would have a view to the waters. it would be so iconic and timeles

I haven't read the whole thread and this may be old hat but I'm hoping USM Bramley Moore is side onto the Mersey rather than just one goal.

Claim as much of that iconic waterfront as we possibly can.

Shape wise, steep stands to make a nasty home crowd please.

the new Atlanta Falcons stadium... something like this

About a billion quid's worth of stadium there too :p

Meis will surely be looking for something more economical, but still striking. So probably a simple shape, with a steel skeleton and cladding that doesn't require each piece to be cut and shaped individually. Being on the docks with at least one side having no neighbours, they probably don't need to be too subtle with how its lit. Maybe something more like the Allianz externally and less like that Falcons stadium is more likely...

Oh god we aren't as big as Bayern, but actually we do have significant support even in Manchester.
What is age of this support? Are they people who grew up in the 80s?

If you think that young people growing up are going to choose Everton over six other teams in England, well, I don't know what to say.

Is a young London kid going to choose Everton over Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal, even West Ham?

Is a young person from Manchester/Liverpool area going to choose Everton, with no family ties, over Man C, Man U or even Liverpool?

If you look at jersey and names sold in UK alone, Everton is not near the top.

There is nothing wrong with this. It is part of our progress to change this over the coming years. But as we stand, we're a long way from the pack ahead.

It is kids from the 80's that's my age group, and they have children now. You could buy an Everton top in the Trafford centre before you could buy it anywhere outside the Everton shop in Liverpool. But I'm only going on life experience, you probably live in Manchester or have researched it for uni or something. And young kids in Liverpool support Everton? Are you daft. Of course they would and do!!

I have an irrational fear that he's suffering a massive creative block.

I sometimes imagine him sitting there with his eyes unfocused, staring at the wall. The lack of inspiration has paralysed him - all he's managed to produce is a piece of paper with "Everton stadium design" written on it.
