Is that your best argument. In the 60s there were no fat kids doing stupid things. Only Beautiful people doing cool things.

Sit on that and twist you bad wham fan

Has to be the 80s for me..On a personal level i was in my teens - 20s and at my happiest and most confident period of my life.

Then suddenly something i never thought would happen in my life time occurred : a highly successful Everton side bloomed almost overnight!!

Me and my old friends followed them everywhere..so many class memories.

I would say mid 70’s to mid 80’s for me, but it’s not on the list so I’ll take the 1970’s.

Music. From The Beatles, Let it be in 1970 to The Clash, London Calling in 1979 it was a great decade for music. Bowie, Pink Floyd, Led Zep, The Who, The Jam, the list goes on.

Film. The 1970’s gave us The Godfather, Star Wars, Jaws, Cabaret, and Bridge Too far. The Muppet Movie and introduced us to Rocky and The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Fun for all the family.

Other 1970’s highlights. Monty Pythons Flying Circus, ok it starter in 1969, The Morecombe & Wise Christmas Shows and the Two Ronnie’s on the TV (In Colour!), Hot Pants and the summer of 1976 when a boss time was had by yours truly.

The 1970’s. Built on solid foundations of the hippy sixties and providing inspiration for the generations to come.

I did my first fingering in the 90's so there's no other winner for me.

Fingering is the pinnacle of post puberty life.

The 80's. I was born and all my grandparents were still alive. Everton were superboss too, and Stevie Ray Vaughan was still alive. Snooker loopy, Spitting Image's Chicken Song, Queen in their prime. I could go on forever really.

The 60s, possibly THE greatest decade for music with the likes of the Beatles, Hendrix, the Rolling Stones, the Doors, the Who and loads of others. Liverpool (the city) was great too with people wanting to be from Liverpool and we were probably the most culturally significant city in the 60s. Don't forget that the 60s had the space race and Everton were boss then as well.

1980's...BOSS

So to sum up.

The poll at the top ' may ' not be strictly accurate as to the ' bestness ' of one decade over another, but more a representation of the GOT demographic

And as a point of order Mr Speaker I WAS there and can state that the 60's didn't start until Nov 1962 and that some aspects of the 50's lingered up to 69
