When will we win the Premier League?

Not that arsed. It's football and as a grown man who has supported Everton all my life I can now see them as my favourite part of a sometimes enjoyable soap opera over which I have no influence. If they plummeted down the divisions I'd still support them and still derive some enjoyment in the same way that Citeh fans enjoyed getting promoted from League 1.

I don't want them to win the title but when they do I'll be about as arsed about it as any RS fans are arsed about Leicester winning it a few years back - just a thing that happened. During the CL final I was irritated by it but then I very quickly wasn't arsed. It's very easy to get over something that happens in football unless you're a child or one of them oddballs who lends far too much importance on the multi-million pound corporation they support and allows it to define their life.

Enjoy the highs, bemoan the lows but don't let such trivial matters genuinely get to you. Once a match is over just shrug your shoulders and crack on with the truly important things in life outside the soap opera.
Evertons really worn you down.

We have to believe that our day will come again, if we don't, there is no point.

I'd take silverware in any form, although not the League Cup if its going to exclude top seven next year. That just makes it like the Auto Windscreens Trophy.

Success can be relative though. Spurs haven't won anything recently but I'd very happily take the last couple of seasons they have had.

We are losing relevance, if we haven't completely lost it already.

I like the saying "Nothing succeeds like success". Plainly, its what we need.

Now that Liverpool are on the cusp of the title, and we have not won anything in 25 years, I have started to believe that I will never see us actually win a Premier League championship. I just completed Man City's documentary on Netflix, as i watched them lift the trophy and observed the joy and delight on the fans faces, I had the horrible sinking feeling that I will never have that experience, and watch us win anything. I was too young in the 80's to recall the glory years. Interested to hear your thoughts
You'll be in your cold, cold grave before you see us win the title.

Whose this 'we' you speak of?

I'm getting some funny vibes from this free transfer poster.....my gobshite detector is going utterly wild!

got a better chance of winning a cup now at least

The whole premier League should be exempt from the old League cup with the semi pro league replacing them - it started with just lower league many years ago on its conception.....? no euro place - have to top five in the European cup of the FA cup a European cup place stop weakned sides from round 3 making it worthwhile again ....

Aston Villa were the first winners of the League Cup and were in the old First Division at the time so it was never for just lower league sides.

There was a separate Football League Group Cup which was a precursor of the current EFL Trophy.

It was optional we opted out ......imo let the lower leagues have it the mighty Swindon town won it one year......

Ah I see. Lower leagues already have the EFL Trophy....or they did until the odd decision to lump the U23 sides from the PL & Championship in there so I can't see the need for another just lower leagues competition. And below that there's the FA Trophy and Vase for lower down the pyramid plus the County competitions.

I don't mind the League Cup though as it's competitive senior level football that young players can be given time in. A step up from the current U23 Development system.
